Oh me, oh my! Louisiana Gumbo with Sake?

A Yamahai Junmai sake, with its umami and complex acidity, perfectly accompanies Gumbo’s earthy and rich goodness. The savory flavor profile of the sake brings out the sweetness of shrimp and crawfish, while the creamy mouthfeel is an ideal dance partner with the Gumbo’s flavorful dark roux. I enjoyed this pairing with sake at room temperature for a sumptuous Summer meal.
