A delicious summertime treat for adults

It was auspicious luck when Andrew Quady discovered a rare Orange Muscat grape varietal, known in Italy as Moscato Fior d’Arancio, growing in a San Joaquin Valley town.

When they started making wine, they were producing 1600 cases. After decades of devotion and hard work, they currently exceed 100,000 cases in production.

I can see why the sales have exploded to such popularity. Because what Quady produces is consistent in its flavor and quality.

My favorite is Red Electra Moscato, made from a blend of Orange Muscat, Black Muscat, and Muscat Canelli. The flavor is bursting with ripe dark and red fruits with a touch of fizzy, making it a fun and delicious drink.

But I like to take this beverage to another level in the summertime. Freeze the wine in a freezer-safe container overnight, and you’ll have a refreshing slushie to enjoy the next day.

I like to dress up this slushie by adding an orange slice, a fig slice, and raspberries—elevating this dessert to resemble a Sangria slushie.

Quady has expanded to produce Port, Sherry, Vermouth, and Rhone blend wines. I’m looking forward to tasting all of their new additions!
