Demystifying Japanese Premium Saké

Fun Saké Tasting and Introductory Events

Discover and Taste Premium Saké

Japanese saké has been receiving a bad wrap due to poor quality sakés being served in Asian restaurants across the country. But did you know that Premium Sakés rival in flavor profile and diverse food-pairing options much like wine?

That’s why champagne giants like Regis Camus (Charles Heidsieck and Rare Champagne) and Richard Geoffroy (Dom Perignon) are brewing their sakés, utilizing their masterful blending talent to produce tantalizing beverages.

Please join me in my “Demystifying Japanese Premium Saké” event.

  • Learn basic saké terminology to help you decode a general flavor profile from saké labels without knowing how to read Japanese.
  • Let me introduce you to various styles of sakés you may never have tasted in your local restaurants.
  • I’ll share how to drink and store premium saké and even clear up some misconceptions.

By the end of our session, each participant will have gained foundational saké knowledge to confidently explore the exciting world of Premium Saké on their own.

Our Sake Tasting Event includes:

  • Fun, introductory Saké education—Demystify Saké
  • Learn secrets to decoding Saké labels
  • Serving suggestions and food pairing advice
  • Taste various styles of Saké
  • Gift bag

Our Tasting Events

It’s always a pleasure to introduce Premium Sakes to new audiences. Our past tasting venue has been the House of Oliver Wine Lounge and Restaurant in Roseville.

All attendees will receive a Sake Gift Bag containing ‘Yomi’, a Sake from Oregon, a QR code that would launch a Sake ‘Cheat Sheet,’ and a list of retailers who carry all the Sakes from the tasting lineup.

There will be lots of laughter to be shared. Sake was meant to bring people together to create fun memories, and we strive to achieve that!

I am looking forward to the next event!

Wow! I had no idea that Saké could be that good. The first sake we tasted was a sparkling Saké from Uka. Absolutely changed my opinion of Saké. After that, all of the Saké presented were really good.

She also gave a very professional slide presentation explaining how Saké is made and how to understand labels at stores. She finished up with a frozen chocolate Saké dessert! Really an eye opening, fun, and enjoyable event. I would not hesitate to recommend this event to others.

All I knew about Saké was from Saké bombs and Japanese restaurants, so I thought I’d come to this event to see if there is something else.

I was blown away by the Saké Maki poured for us. They were good! We also learned about label terminology and what to look for in stores. Great presentation Maki!
